Information you provide

• Account details — your name, email address, and profile image, collected when you sign up (including via Google).
• Billing details — your plan, subscription status, and payment history. Card numbers are handled by our payment processor and never reach our servers.
• Content you upload — source videos and links you submit, the clips generated from them, transcripts, captions, and any text, media, or audio you add in the editor.
• Anything you send us — support requests, feedback, and other correspondence.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data — pages viewed, features used, projects created, and rendering activity.
• Device and connection data — browser type, operating system, approximate location derived from IP address, and referring pages.
• Log data — timestamps, error reports, and diagnostic information generated while the service runs.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the product is used. Analytics cookies help us see which features people rely on. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, though parts of the app will not work without the ones required for authentication.

• To run the service — processing your video, producing clips, and storing your projects so you can come back to them.
• To manage your account, plan, allowances, and billing.
• To provide support and respond to what you send us.
• To keep StudioKit secure — detecting abuse, fraud, and violations of our Terms.
• To improve the product by understanding aggregate usage patterns.
• To send service messages, and — if you have opted in — product updates. You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the content of your videos to train our own models.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of vendors to operate StudioKit: authentication and billing, database hosting, object storage for your videos and clips, transcription and analysis, and product analytics. They may process your information only to provide those services to us, under contract.

Legal obligations

We may disclose information if we are required to by law, subpoena, or other valid legal process.

Protection of rights and safety

We may disclose information where we believe in good faith that it is necessary to investigate suspected fraud or abuse, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public.

Business transfers

If StudioKit is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may transfer as part of that transaction. We will tell you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Source videos, clips, and transcripts stay in your account until you delete them or close your account, after which we remove them from our systems within a reasonable period, except where we must retain records to meet legal or accounting obligations.

Data is encrypted in transit, access to production systems is restricted, and stored files are served through signed, expiring links. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

StudioKit is operated from the United States, and our providers may process information in countries other than the one you live in. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses — to protect information that moves across borders.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, export it in a portable format, or withdraw consent you previously gave.

You can update most details directly in your account settings, or contact us at support@studiokit.ai and we will respond within the time frame the law requires.

StudioKit is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

We will update this policy as the service evolves. The “last updated” date above always reflects the current version, and we will give notice in the app or by email before material changes take effect.
